Since 2004 my primary focus has been in the area of software security tools associated with the improvement of common SDLCs as practiced today. In February of 2004 I join the silicon valley startup Fortify Software as a fulltime employee. For over three years at Fortify Software I worked as, and defined the role of, Sales Engineer / Security Sales Consultant. While at Fortify I gained unparalleled expertise in deploying, configuring, tuning, customizing, and real-world use of the Fortify Software Source Code Analysis Suite. After Fortify I joined Cigital, Inc., the defacto-leader in the world of software security best practices, in a Managing Consultant role. As a Managing Consultant at Cigital I provide software security analysis domain expertise at Bloomberg, Bear Stearns, Barclays, CIGNA, Paychex, Sterling Commerce, and other companies specifically in the areas of code review/aduit through the use of the Fortify Software Source Code Analysis Suite.

In eighteen years as an independent Software Engineering Consultant my primary past client focus was equally divided between top-tier Operating System firms & Network ISV corporations along with many small to large private and public sector organizations in the financial & commercial software product markets. Gary J. Hardy, Inc. past client companies included; Apple Computer Incorporated, Nortel Networks, Digital Equipment Corporation, General Electric Company, Intel Corporation, International Business Machines Corporation, Earthlink Network, Netscape Communications Corporation, Sun Microsystems Incorporated, Time Warner Interactive, Wells Fargo Bank, SEI Investments, AEGIS Insurance Services, Time Warner Interactive, American President Lines.
